Adult psychotherapy
Individual therapy for parents is a set of sessions with a psychotherapist in which one or both parents can participate. The aim of this therapy is to analyse parental difficulties and conflicts and find out better ways to deal with them.
The process of revealing the unconscious aspects of the relationship with children helps in understanding one’s emotions, thoughts and fantasies and gaining control of one’s behaviour, which is fundamental for constructive and satisfying relationship.
The therapy sessions take place usually once a week and last 50 minutes. The duration of the therapy depends on the problem and individual needs.
Each therapy is preceded with the consulting process, which requires one to three sessions.
